Daniel Sanders gana el Dakar 2025 con podio de Tosha Schareina y Adrien Van Beveren
El australiano conquista su primer touareg y el de Honda devuelve a España al podio tras ocho años.
El australiano Daniel Sanders se ha llevado el triunfo final en el Dakar 2025, que ha liderado desde el prólogo hasta el final -algo que no hacía nadie desde el español Marc Coma en 2009-, consiguiendo el tercer touareg para Australia después de los ganados por Toby Price en 2016 y 2019; y recuperando el trono para KTM un año después de cederlo ante Honda.
La marca del ala dorada ha tenido que conformarse con un doble podio: la segunda posición ha sido para el español Tosha Schareina, que acaba con ocho años de sequía para el motociclismo español en cajón del Dakar (desde el tercer puesto de Gerard Farrés en 2017); con el francés Adrien Van Beveren repitiendo el tercer escalón de hace un año.
El español Edgar Canet ha conquistado la categoría Rally2 como rookie y con tan solo 19 años, por delante del austriaco Tobias Ebster y el francés Romain Dumontier -ganador de la misma en 2023-; mientras que el rumano Emanuel Gyenes se ha llevado un apretadísimo duelo en Original. Dentro de los Rally2, Canet también ha ganado en las subcategorías Junior y Rookie; la española Sandra Gómez en Women y el checo David Pabiska en Veteran.
La etapa final, un bucle en Shubaytah con una corta especial de 61 kilómetros, ha sido para el sudafricano Michael Docherty, ganador también de la antepenúltima etapa; que se ha impuesto por tan solo tres segundos a Adrien Van Beveren, con Tobias Ebster tercero a 44 segundos para apuntalar su estatus de mejor privado en la general ante el eslovaco Stefan Svitko, hoy quinto.
Entre ambos ha finalizado Tosha Schareina, ganador ayer, con el campeón Daniel Sanders en la sexta posición. El top 10 lo han completado el argentino Luciano Benavides -que se queda a las puertas del podio en su mejor posición final-, Romain Dumontier, el portugués Rui Gonçalves y el ganador del pasado Dakar, el estadounidense Ricky Brabec.

Mario Román Serrano and CFMOTO complete a three-class Adventure sweep at Red Bull Romaniacs 2026
Mario Román Serrano put the CFMOTO 450MT on top of Red Bull Romaniacs 2026 with victory in the Adventure Ultimate class, delivering a landmark result for CFMOTO at one of the toughest off-road motorcycle events in the world. The success extended across the Adventure categories, with CFMOTO riders taking victory in all three classes. Alongside Román’s Ultimate triumph, Rene Columna secured the Adventure Core title, while Chinese rider He Guishu claimed the Adventure Lite victory.
Recognized as one of the toughest Hard Enduro and Adventure Bike Rallyes in the world, Red Bull Romaniacs 2026 took place from July 28 to August 1 around Sibiu, Romania. From the In-city Prolog to four Offroad Days in the Southern Carpathian Mountains, the event was a full measure of distance, terrain and judgement, asking riders and motorcycles to keep adapting from one test to the next.
CFMOTO joined Romaniacs for a second year as a major event sponsor and brought nearly 40 riders from 15 countries across Asia, Europe, North America and South America. The line-up covered Adventure Ultimate, Adventure Core and Adventure Lite, with the 450MT as the most widely used CFMOTO model. The 800MT-X and the 1000MT-X added further presence for the MT family. The new 1000MT-X also made a strong impression in the line-up, bringing torque-rich litre-class power, true ADV geometry and a 21-inch front / 18-inch rear spoked wheel set-up to the same demanding Romaniacs terrain. It was the 450MT that carried the sharpest storyline through Román’s title charge — it was a statement of untapped potential, proving that this machine is capable of far more than its spec sheet suggests.
